UEFA will distribute a total of 331 million euros among the participants
The Eurocup will take place in Germany in June 2024
UEFA will match the spending made in the previous Euro Cup and will invest 30 million euros more than in France 2016, when the European football body distributed 301 million euros.
Thus, the association led by the Slovenian Aleksander Ceferin will divide 331 ‘kilos’ among the 24 participating teams in the tournament that will take place in Germany in June 2024.
Each national team has insured a minimum of 9.25 million euros for playing the tournament.
Each victory in the group stage will be awarded with 1.5 million euros and ties with 750,000 euros.
The numbers increase in the knockout rounds. In case of passing to eighths, the federations will pocket 2 million; 3.25 million in the classification for rooms and five ‘kilos’ for the selections that put in the semifinals.
The runner-up will enter 7 million and the champion, 10. That is, the champion team could earn around 30 million euros. A good pinch.
