This is how the city prepares for the show

On June 23, 2023, Rammstein will perform in Madrid. The concert, which will take place in the Cívitas Metropolitano Stadium, has been sold out for a long time – the current allegations against Till Lindemann will probably not change that. Because many Spanish fans are looking forward to Rammstein’s return. The band last played a gig there in 2019. There is currently no talk of protest actions, such as those currently planned in Berlin. Ticket holders do not have to fear a concert cancellation either.

The Spanish news site “El Confidencial” has nevertheless dealt with the question of what the current situation could mean for the current live shows, including the concert in Madrid. “Could a concert in Spain be canceled due to the allegations?” the portal asked lawyer José Domingo Monforte. “If there is no contractual provision for this, the contract could not be terminated and the concert could not be canceled. Contracts with artists usually do not contain any moral clauses. These behavioral and image clauses are usually reserved for situations when you are promoting a brand or associating the artist with a brand.” It would be different if Rammstein had been sponsored by a brand.

Rammstein live in Madrid: Are restrictions to be expected?

The Spanish capital is well acquainted with major events. Not only does the Mad Cool Festival take place there annually, other stars such as The Rolling Stones have also performed in front of 53,000 spectators at the Cívitas Metropolitano Stadium. Accordingly, traffic problems are not to be expected as with the Rammstein show in Slovakia. Nevertheless, the organizers recommend using public transport to avoid stress on arrival.

Anyone attending the concert should know, however, that the tickets are personal. It has already been announced that there will be an ID check. Delays are therefore to be expected at the entrance in any case. The doors will open at 6 p.m. As before, the French duo Abélard will act as support act, the Rammstein show is not scheduled to start until 9 p.m.
