– I did not go to coach, but to be an expert to look at the whole.
Pole vault Wilma Murto told Yle in June that he was practicing an ex-spring thrower Tero Pitkämäki with programs.
The world champion of the spear throwing was spear thrower until last summer Oliver Helander as a coach. The collaboration ended with the Paris Olympics due to the Pitkämäki family and work rush.
Did you miss coaching?
– No miss now, but I wanted to get involved when the situation came.
Pitkämäki says that the burglary has contacted him. The ex-hell thruster monitors the break, above all after the whole.

As a rule, expertise takes place remotely. Pitkämäki says he has made it clear that he cannot be full -time in the hurry of coaching. The two have not set a deadline for their cooperation, but the job will continue as long as it is good.

The 2023 World Championship bronze medalist Murto has suffered from a variety of ailments in recent years. In June, he announced that he had had a knee surgery. The previous hall season was missed and at that time Murto said he needed a breathing time.
Pitkämäki also suffered from various ailments during his long career.
– I have been in my career in a similar situation where Wilma is currently. The spiritual side has small knots. They have been tried to open and get back to top-level sports.
Pitkämäki says he has experienced challenges in the spirit, especially when the result did not come at the race.
“Of course, such ailments are not visible outward,” says the 2007 World Champion.
In a hurry
Pitkämäki founded his former racing partner three years ago Antti Ruuskanen with.
– Businesses as they grow, the problems also grow, Pitkämäki laughs.
He sees many similarities in entrepreneurship and top-level sports.
– In both, everything is pretty much up to you. You also have to get along well with different parties.
The spearman feels that the sports career has provided the ability to have business.

Pitkämäki states that it is more comfortable to run a joint company with Ruuskanen than to compete against this.
