An actor known from Putus Antti Tuomas Heikkinen received messages from followers on Instagram this week. A guy with the same name and appearance had sent people follow requests on the social media service.
A fake profile had been created in Heikkinen’s name. Heikkinen has never had the same experience before.
– At the same time, I made a post on my own story (Instagram stories section) where I asked people to report the profile in question. I also reported it myself, says Heikkinen.
He soon noticed that his picture had been removed from the fake profile. Now the profile can no longer be found.
Many Finnish celebrities have had trouble with the manufacturers of fake profiles. From time to time, online fraudsters make fake profiles on social media in the name of well-known people, which also fish for financial benefits.
Samu Haber
Vocalist Samu Haberin in the past, the strangest scam messages were sent. The singer told last year how his representatives had received e-mails from people telling about Meet for sale for 40,000 euros & greet events. In those events, you would have been able to meet Haber by paying the sum.
Haber said that some had also failed to pay the amount.

Ilona Chevakova
The actress Ilona Chevakova, also known from the series Salatut elämät, got in trouble from an exceptionally rude con artist.
– I received messages from numerous people that another account has been created for you, and it is probably a fake account. Many reported that they have received a follow request from such an account. It’s quite scary that the account has all the pictures and everything about me, the actor told Iltalehte at the time.
Soon it also became clear to the actor that the founder of the spoof account had very bad intentions.
– Scam messages are sent through the account, in which people try to get money. I hope everyone realizes that it’s not me, Chevakova emphasized.

Maaret Kallio
Psychotherapist and nonfiction writer Maaret Kallio also warned a couple of years ago about a scammer offering money and special benefits in his name on Facebook and Instagram.
