Rammstein concerts are stage spectacles for all the senses. The musicians were celebrated for this at the home game in the Olympic Stadium. That’s how the band rocked Berlin.

The music in the Berlin Olympic Stadium is so loud that the bass even makes the old masonry vibrate. Visually, there is always something to discover for the 66,168 fans during the two-hour sold-out concert between the light spectacle and columns of fire.

The huge stage, together with the other show components, takes up the space of 80 trucks. For the tour through Europe and North America, Rammstein needs two versions of it. While the group is playing in Berlin, the counterpart is being set up in Stuttgart.

The band had 22 songs on the set list for their home game. The six musicians live in the capital. They met here in 1994 and have since developed into the most internationally successful German band with their hard sound. “It’s nicest at home,” says Lindemann during one of his extremely rare stage announcements.

After two concerts in Leipzig and the two performances in Berlin, concerts in Germany are planned in Stuttgart (June 10/11), Hamburg (June 14/15) and Düsseldorf (18/19). The band will play 42 concerts in Europe and North America on the tour, which has been postponed twice due to corona. In the first part, more than a million fans visited the 30 shows in 2019, ten of which were in Germany.

Four songs come from the successful album “Zeit”, released at the end of April, which immediately catapulted Rammstein to number one in the charts. The musicians have integrated new songs such as “Zick Zack”, “Armee der Tristen”, “Adieu” and the title song “Zeit” into the programme.

Rammstein hits like “Sonne”, “Du hast”, “Mein Herz brennt”, “Mein Teil” or “Deutschland” are also ecstatically celebrated by the fans. In addition, it thunders, crashes, flashes and explodes at every conceivable point on the gigantic stage structure.

A spectacular concert evening, as one could see and hear far away from the stadium.
