The actress feels that the second pregnancy is a little different than the previous one.
– Now I’ve gotten a little tired of the competition, as the pregnancy time has seemed longer. Everything was new the first time, when it was treated differently, he states.
Pregnancy has also brought a challenge both to work and to one’s own body image.
– My body is my work tool, and it has been hidden in different projects. It brings an additional challenge to work, self-image and body relationship. So it has been a very different experience, says the actor.
According to Nummela, there have also been funny moments during her pregnancy. For example, many creative ways were used in the filming of Syke to cover Nummela’s pregnant belly.
– It’s been quite interesting. In the early stages of my pregnancy, I imagined that everyone would see my pregnancy. But of course you can’t see. I’ve always had a bunch of flowers in front of me, a medicine cart or a big sweater when I was sitting. In addition, we take a lot of close-up photos so that the focus is not on my middle body, he says.
The firstborn’s reaction

Nummela already has a 3-year-old son with her ex-husband, a presenter-actor Roope Salminen, 33, with. The two separated in the spring of 2022. Nummela says that the first-born is excitedly waiting for the baby’s arrival, but the mother is still preparing for the future with reservations.
– I think that when a guy comes, it can be a tough place, that the mother’s attention is divided between the two. You have to be careful that he also gets to take care of the baby. Also that he doesn’t feel pushed aside or forgotten, the actor states.
Nummela feels it is important that they, as parents, understand the child’s jealousy and other feelings that a new baby can arouse. He says they discussed it at home.
Two cities
The father of Nummela’s second child is a restaurateur from Turku. The couple has lived the everyday life of two cities, as Nummela’s work is mainly in Helsinki. According to the actor, they will evaluate in more detail which city they will live in mostly after the baby is born.
Nummela herself is optimistic about living between two cities.
– I have found it quite refreshing. After all, Turku is quite close, and the train is very convenient. I haven’t thought about it more than that. We always react to the matter according to the work and situations, the actor emphasizes.
The actor cannot say in advance in which city they will possibly settle.
– Of course, my work is mainly here in Helsinki. On the other hand, my work also involves a lot of traveling and changing circumstances, so it is not said that I would settle here, he concludes.
