Nick Carter on Sunday (November 6) shared old pictures of himself and his brother Aaron Carter, who was found dead at his home in California the day before (November 5). Nick Carter not only expressed his love for his younger brother Aaron in his Instagram post, but also wrote about his addiction problems and mental illness. Aaron Carter opened up about his struggles back in 2019 and how he would be on six medications at once.
“My heart is broken. Even though my brother and I had a complicated relationship, my love for him never went away. I always held out hope that one day he would find a healthy path and eventually find the help he so desperately needed,” Nick Carter said in his post, adding, “Sometimes we want to blame someone or something give a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness are the real villains here. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. i love you chizz Now you can finally have the peace you could never find here on earth…I love you little brother.”
The former pop singer was found at his home by his housekeeper on Saturday (November 5). He was lying in his bathtub unresponsive and police reportedly received a call around 11am.
His first album AARON CARTER reached gold status in Germany, the follow-up AARON’S PARTY (COME GET IT) triple platinum status in the USA. Carter appeared as the opening act for the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears.
