HJK grabbed a significant pot of money in its coffers from the euro courts this season as well.
The qualifying rounds alone brought it 500,000 euros.
However, the most significant source of income was survival to the group stage of the Europa League. As a reward for that, HJK received 3.63 million euros. It was almost 700,000 euros more than last year’s Conference League.
In the group stage, HJK managed to stretch to only one draw. The Ludogorets trophy at home was worth 210,000 euros. Even in Thursday’s final round against Real Betis, HJK would have had the opportunity to increase its total pot.
All in all, the Euro adventure brought the Helsinki club 4,340,000 euros. Added to the money pile is the club point bonus, around 150,000–400,000 euros, and slightly more than 100,000 euros from the TV rights.
