Loreen, who won Eurovision twice, says she doesn’t care about the competition.
– Two weeks? It feels like two days have passed.
Swedish singer With Loreen39, has really been busy since winning the Eurovision Song Contest earlier in May.
Loreen was crowned the winner of the competition for the second time. The singer is happy with her achievement, that for the first time a woman has won the fives twice. Only an Irishman has previously won a double win in fives Johnny Logan.

Loreen became a pre-favorite of the wise men even before the representative song Tattoo publication. When the singer is asked if he thought he would win, the answer is no. He didn’t even want to think about winning.
– I shut that part out. It was as if the whole race didn’t exist. The only thing that was important to me was the creative work, that I could realize my vision. I had no other expectations, no agenda, Loreen describes in an interview with Iltalehti.
However, when the victory came, Loreen describes that she was in shock, as she still is. It is still hard to comprehend what happened.
The most important thing for Loreen on the visa trip was the encounters with people. Loreen says she is grateful for the support shown by the public.
– I have never experienced such a large amount of love in my life. This experience was so beautiful. I have learned a lot about life.

The importance of nature is also emphasized in the singer’s speeches. According to Loreen, nature was represented on a five stage, for example in the form of a large set. Nature can be seen in everything, everything is connected to everything. Instead of worldly things, Loreen talks a lot about spirituality.
Permission to criticize
Loreen’s victory has also caused a lot of conflicting feelings among the talent audience, as the overwhelming favorite of the audience was Finland Wrapper.
Loreen herself tries not to follow the conversations.
– People have freedom of speech, they can feel what they feel, Loreen states.
Of course, even the winner of the competition has not managed to completely avoid critical and even angry comments. However, he does not want to sacrifice his resources for them.
– It wouldn’t help me or anyone else. I respect the people who would have wanted the Scroller to win. Käärijäk is also a winner for me.
Despite summer rage, Loreen has not found herself in threatening situations.

Regarding the competition itself, Loreen emphasizes its community aspect: families and friends gather together to watch the broadcast.
– At the end of the day, you can’t compete in music. I love how people have shown their support for Käärijä. I can’t be mad about it.
Bust the conspiracy theories
The wildest speculations are related to several conspiracy theories behind Sweden’s win.
One of the theories in circulation is that the five-piece victory would have been organized specifically for Sweden, so that the country could host next year, when Abba’s legendary victory will be 50 years ago.
Loreen doesn’t think this is true.
– I don’t know how it (Sweden’s organized victory) would even be accomplished.
Tattoo– winning song has also been the subject of accusations of plagiarism. According to Loreen, at least no lawsuit has yet been filed over the song.
– In music, many songs sound similar. It’s hard to reinvent the wheel. We get inspired by songs and create something new from it. Today it is difficult to create something completely new, everything has already been created, the singer reflects.
Rigorous preparation
Loreen’s smart diet has also caused an uproar. The singer told SVT in February that she eats chicken, broccoli and feta cheese almost every day. Later, Expressen reported how Loreen had said in a children’s program that she had given up pasta completely, because she wanted to get in good shape.

Loreen’s strict competition diet has been called unhealthy and even harmful. Despite her limited diet, Loreen says she ate even more than usual. Instead of a diet, he talks about a “meal program”.
– I ate at least five large portions a day, healthy food. Even my makeup artist was horrified that that is too much food! But my body needed it, she recalls.
– I don’t care about diets. It is important for me to know what my body needs.
For six months, Loreen focused all her energy on her three-minute five-piece performance.
– If the heart is not strong, it affects the singing. I knew I had to be even stronger for the show.
The singer admits that external development was also important, although the focus was elsewhere.
– Since I’m a woman, I wanted to look as strong as possible and gain more muscle.

Never mind the competition
The Eurovision voting system and the professional councils have also received a lot of criticism. It was thanks to the council points that Loreen won this year’s competition, even though Käärijä had collected even half as many audience points.
On the Internet, there have been demands to remove the councils from the competition completely, even in the form of an address. Loreen herself has no opinion on the matter.
– I don’t really care about the competition side, I haven’t thought about voting practices. When I won in 2012, I didn’t know the rules of wisdom. When I won in 2023, I still don’t know all the rules. My focus is not on the competition, but on creating for the public.

You can imagine that it is challenging for Sweden’s controversial visa winner to be questioned by the Finnish media. However, the most difficult question of the interview was which song Loreen would choose if she could keep only one: Euphoria or Tattoo?
– Now I would say that Tattoo, I love that song. But I would cheat Tattoo every now and then Euphoria with, Loreen laughs.
