According to the district court, it was undisputed that Tähkä and the concerned owner went alone to Tähkä’s hotel room at around 5:30 in the morning. The plaintiff left the room about three quarters of an hour later.

According to his story, Tähkä doesn’t remember the events in the hotel room because of his drunken state. Nevertheless, he denied any sexual or physical intercourse with the person concerned. He said that he urged the person concerned to leave the hotel room in a low-key tone.

Although the court found the story of the person concerned to be credible and detailed in itself, the threshold for sentencing was not exceeded. There were two district judges and their votes were tied. Thus, Tähkä’s milder opinion won.

The charge was processed during the fall of 2023 in the district court of Kanta-Häme over two days.

Tähkä briefly commented on his thoughts to the media on the first day of the hearing.

– It feels really bad. I haven’t done anything wrong, Tähkä said at the time firmly.
