Hertha remains without a win against Dortmund (0:1) after five competitive games, the false start (17th place and cup failure) hits the club hard! In the BILD program “Die Lage der Liga” manager Fredi Bobic (50) explains why Hertha’s fans have to wait another year until the squad is competitive.
Bobic on expectations: “The way we play football is different now. But I already said a year ago that you need at least two years to clean up this squad. That will probably take another year. What was done there is not easy for us. We are under economic pressure, we know that. We also lost a lot of players. To reduce the squad to a healthy level. And we invested in the squad as best we could. We’re trying to get a homogenous squad with speed and a good mentality.”
