The anticipation of Depeche Mode’s new album “Memento Mori” is huge – this is also reflected in the fan reactions under the band’s most recent post. To the end of seven day countdown on February 3rd at 6 p.m., many had already expected the release of the first single. In fact, the band revealed more details: “‘Ghosts Again’, the first single from Depeche Mode’s new album ‘Memento Mori’, will be released on February 9, 2023. Set your alarm for 6 p.m..”

The website also renewed itself and a countdown started that will count down for six days. Below that, fans can still subscribe to a mailing list. Those who had already expected a new song today are irritated, annoyed, but also simply impatient on Instagram. For example, the comments read, “So why did we all think it was coming out today? All this for another announcement? Really?” Others ask, “What was the countdown for?” “We had an announcement for a countdown that was for an announcement,” replies another fan.
“The teasing goes too far, boys. Not okay ?”, complains another user. Others, on the other hand, take it easy: “Fucked up. But let’s wait a few more days.”
After all: Now we can be sure that the new single “Ghosts Again” will be released on February 9th. The Instagram post also shows that the cover can already be seen in various cities around the world.
