Singer Avril Lavigne received a spectacular tribute this week. The artist got his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday. Still relying on her trademark grunge style, Lavigne arrived to celebrate her stardom in checked pants, a hoodie and chunky shoes.
Lavigne’s hits were on everyone’s lips in the early 2000s. The artist became very popular when he was only 17 years old, when his first single Complicated rose to the top of the charts around the world in the spring of 2002.

Later, the favorite singer disappeared almost completely from the public eye for years. In 2015, Lavigne revealed that the debilitating symptoms eventually turned out to be Lyme disease caused by a tick bite.
Lavigne said that she had practically been her own for two years and that she had already accepted that she was going to die. The singer has actively campaigned for borreliosis awareness.

– It was the most perfect proposal I can imagine. We were boating on the Seine. There was a fiddler, champagne and roses. It felt like time had stopped and in that moment it was just the two of us, Lavigne described.
