Various scam messages, scam calls and fake apps have been circulating in abundance. Recently, for example, messages have been sent in the name of authorities and banks.
General secretary and ICT expert of the digital security management group of the Digital and Population Agency Kimmo Rousku brought up over the weekend in his tweet information security training video on how everyone can work more safely online. The training is related to the Be careful, ensure and warn campaign.
In the video, Rousku lists the things that criminals want us to steal. Rousku also brings up the idea that some people have nothing to protect in relation to this topic.
– Some have more, some less, but everyone has something, Rousku states.
Listed below are the issues brought up by Rousku, which must be able to and strive to protect, among other things, in terms of the privacy of individuals.
These are the things criminals want:
- Money
- Bank details
- Bank cards and credit cards
- Driving licenses and all information related to identification
- Passwords
- Cryptocurrency wallets
- Personal information, of which health-related information is worth its weight in gold, according to Rousku.
- Patents and other trade secrets
- Security-classified information, for example, by governmental actors
