Russell and Verstappen have dominated Free Practice 1 and 2 respectively

As for the Spanish Carlos Sainz has finished the session in fifth place, while Fernando Alonso he had to settle for the seventh best record.
As for the free seconds, Max Verstappen set the best record with a time of 1.27.930, followed by Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, in a session where Fernando Alonso has finished in fifth place.

So, this is how the second free practice session of the Miami GP ended: Max Verstappen set the best time with 1.27.930, followed by Sainz, who was three tenths behind. Verstappen recovers his position and scores a 1:31.054. Checo Pérez also returns to the ‘podium’, just behind Hulkenberg. His teammate, yes, puts 5 tenths.
Verstappen, Magnussen and, shortly, Fernando Alonso are already on soft tyres. Now they will begin to destroy times. We will be attentive, just when we have been in free practice for more than half an hour.
Albert Fabrega reports that Russell will hit the track in the next few minutes after he pitted.
Hulkenberg dethrones Verstappen on soft tires and sets the mark at 1:31.392! These times will be exceeded as soon as Verstappen, Pérez, Alonso and company put on soft tires.
Marc Gené speaks from Ferrari: “The new flat bottom will only be worn by Charles Leclerc. We do it this way to establish a comparison between the new and the old one.”
George Russell is still in the pits, after problems with his car with vibrations. He looks like he’s still going long. After a discussion on the radio, Mercedes has decided that his car will enter the pits. And there it goes.
Alonso also appears! The Asturian is in third position with a great time: 1:32.542. Little or nothing will resemble what happens today with what will happen in the classification, but it can be an indication.
Leclerc puts one more gear into his riding. He is already second, seven tenths away, yes, from a Verstappen who does not get off the first position. Sainz is still there, fifth.
Be careful with what Pedro Martínez de la Rosa comments: “The risk of it raining is high. We could have something similar to a skating rink.”
Verstappen is well above the rest in these first fifteen minutes of free practice. Nobody except him and Hamilton go down from 1:33.
Alonso and Carlos Sainz are already there. They are all well placed. Verstappen, with the best time, with that 1:32.4; Hamilton, second; Checo Pérez, third; Alonso, fourth; and Carlos Sainz, fifth.
Note that Russell is changing the steering box due to some vibrations. He is out of his car, waiting to fully enter free practice.
Checo Pérez wants to assault Verstappen’s lead. He is just six points behind, even though they have both won two races. Checho did it in Arabia and Baku and Vertsappen did it in Bahrain and Australia. Pérez is no longer interested in the supporting role.
First seven minutes of free practice in Miami. Verstappen leads them with the best time (1:34.054), ahead of Hamilton and his teammate Checo Pérez.
