Bulgarian Geri has grown in the municipal orphanage in Vratsa. He has to leave from there after high school. In Tonislav Hristov’s documentary Ger’s dream We follow how the change goes.
At first, it seems that everything goes well. The boyfriend led Ger for the bad roads after being released from prison has left Ger. Despite the heartache, Geri is planning his future. After surviving student papers, he plans to head to university to study social pedagogy to help children like them. However, three weeks before the YO writings, the ex-boyfriend returns to the patterns and Geri will not get through.
Ger will be held for a graduation party, although later it becomes clear that he has not passed the first YO exams. General
Fortunately, the hopeless situation changes in the final texts. Three months after the filming ends, Geri renews, passes them, and is able to begin university studies. The boyfriend is not mentioned and nor did I have Ger’s new place of residence. With his brother who grew up in the same orphanage, Geri has planned to move to his mother. Before that, however, it is necessary to find out why the mother once rejected her children.
– My mother rejected me when I was eight, Geri remembers her care under the guidance completed last year.

According to Ger, the mother did not want to have anything to do with her daughter at first. Since then, they have called, but they are rarely seen. In front of the camera, Mom tells her own tragic story.
– When I was born, I was left at the door of Vratsa orphanage. I don’t know who my dad and my mother were.
The mother in a violent relationship did the same for her own children because she felt she had no other options.
– I didn’t get any support from anything. But at least I knew where you were and that you were all right, the mother justifies her decision to her daughter.
– I hope you get a better life than I do.
