This can be seen on TV Drenthe during Christmas

For most of us, the next few days will look something like this: quickly do some Christmas shopping, prepare the extensive Christmas dinners and, last but not least, lie with your legs up on the couch. And with this last activity we can provide you with excellent support in the coming days, because here you can read what can be seen on TV Drenthe.

Saturday evening is the compelling documentary Nest stories to see. The documentary takes you to the Schattenberg residential area, the former Westerbork camp. A unique combination of location theater, archive images and personal interviews. Stories not only about traumas and hidden suffering, but also about the strength and resilience of the Moluccan community.

The big opening show of the Drentse 1000 can be seen on TV Drenthe on Sunday between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Three Radio Drenthe DJs welcome Jannes, Harm & Roelof and a seasoned Rolling Stones fan. The first records of the Drenthe hit list can also be listened to and Aaldert will announce who won the balloon flight.

In the Christmas special, Drenthe’s (former) top athletes also talk about their favorite music and what they do during the holidays. Are you curious about what Peter Hoekstra, Renate Groenewold, Gijs Broeksma, Sem Schilt, Ilse de Haas, Martin Drent, Herbert Dijkstra, Max Weering, Marije Joling and Gert Jakobs listen to? Then switch to TV Drenthe on Sunday just after 5 p.m.

On Christmas Day, Marga Kool tells the Drenthe Christmas story Christmas in Drenthe. It is a compilation show of Christmas highlights in our province. The narrator is assisted by, among others, Shirma Rouse, the Royal Military Band Johan Willem Friso and singer Martijje.

A day later, the Christmas concert of the North Netherlands Orchestra will be broadcast. The theme of the concert is Baroque and great composers such as Handel, Bach and Corelli will be heard. The Christmas on the cake is singer soprano Zoë Brookshaw. She sings, among other things, Mozart’s exuberant Exsultate, Jubilate and Bach’s beautiful aria Süsser Trost, mein Jesus kommt.
