Based on true events was released today on the Prime Video streaming service Thirteen Lives -movie.
In June 2018 in northern Thailand, 12 young soccer players and their coaches went to explore the Tham Luang Nang Noni cave.
It is a popular local attraction. The cave covers a total of ten kilometers of corridors.
Heavy rains raised the water level so high that the mouth of the cave remained below the water level, and the team was trapped. The soccer players had to run away from the flowing water and were stranded on a ledge about four kilometers from the mouth of the cave.
Right from the start, the cave was found to be extremely difficult to navigate. There was a huge amount of water in the caves and it was thick. A total of more than a billion liters was pumped out during the operation.
Saving the soccer team became a huge operation, and it also claimed the life of one diver. Finnish diver Mikko Paasi was also among the helpers.
The last to be rescued had to spend 18 days in the caves.
Thirteen Lives describes the progress of the rescue operation. A group of the world’s most skilled divers will do everything they can to get all 13 out of the caves alive.

The movie is directed by Ron Howard. He is known, among other things, for movies Apollo 13 and Cinderella Man – as a film director.
The roles of divers are seen in the film Viggo Mortensen, Tom Bateman, Colin Farrell and Joel Edgerton.
In addition, the film follows a Thai groundwater expert of Thanet Natisrin stake. He is being played Nophand Boonyai.
The film cannot be recommended for claustrophobics. The route to the rescuers was extremely narrow. The narrowest point along it was only 38 centimeters wide and 72 centimeters high.
The haunting sound effects of the drama don’t make it any easier.
Thirteen Lives available to watch on Prime Video streaming service.
