Due to a different and perhaps more profitable competition on ‘Fat Tuesday’, the traditional meeting in Kuurne had to move up a day in the calendar. Yet the Kuurne organization is satisfied, because this remains the second largest trotting meeting in the country.
The highlight of the day is the Grand Winter Prize, with quite a few big names competing for the prize pool of 10,000 euros. Kristof Depuydt and living legend Jos Verbeeck, among others, want to keep Cyriel D’Atom from a fourth consecutive victory.
