Third championship in a row for hockey players Bloemendaal after an exciting duel with Pinoké

Bloemendaal can still call itself the best male hockey club in the Netherlands. For the third season in a row, the North Hollanders crowned themselves as national champions by beating the Amstelveen Pinoké 3-0.

After the win in the first match on Thursday, Bloemendaal had two chances to finish it this weekend. At ‘t Kopje, the first opportunity was immediately cashed in this afternoon.

Roel Bovendeert gave the home team a 2-0 lead by scoring goals in the first and second quarter. After that, Pinoké had several chances to get back into the game. However, Alexander Hendrickx’s penalty corners did not go in. Tim Swaen put an end to all uncertainty just before time by making the 3-0.

It is Bloemendaal’s 22nd national title in club history. For Pinoké it was the first final for the national championship.
