It has all become a bit too much for Thijs Römer. The actor has decided to take a break, because he has ‘worked too much’ in the past year. He was featured in the drama series Jos and Het Jaar van Fortuyn. He has canceled his participation in the new film Oei, Ik Groei.

‘Good excuse!’

Many media point to the fact that Thijs was discredited this spring when 20-year-old Nena Kruizenga from Groningen publicly accused him of transgressive behaviour. She says she has filed a report with the police. “The police are very busy. I can’t say more about it,” she said at the end of July.

Nena is making himself heard now that Thijs has announced that he is clearing his agenda. “Worked too much? Good excuse Thijs ?”, she says in an Instagram story.

Media break

It is striking that Nena is making herself heard, because she announced a media break at the beginning of last month. “I want to ask you if you can leave me alone, until the case is finished, but I will not respond anymore, I will no longer drop bombs and I will also cut it until I can tell how and what and proof to show.”

“It’s up to the police, I’ve done my thing and I’ve done what’s best. Now it’s not up to me. That’s why I say: I’ll stop dropping bombs.”
