“Our driver called us to say he had been attacked by a group of people. More than fifty pieces have been stolen,” the 38-year-old fashion designer posted on the night from Saturday to Sunday. The driver, who was uninjured, transported the clothing in a truck that was robbed on the way from the airport to the Balmain headquarters, Rousteing said.
“My team and I worked hard. We are going to work even harder, day and night, just like our suppliers,” said the stylist, who has been Balmain’s artistic director since 2011. The fashion house, which was acquired by the Qatari investment fund Mayhoola in 2016, is scheduled for September 27 in Paris.
