At Neuenhagen near Berlin (Märkisch-Oderland district), car thieves crashed their previously stolen vehicle into a ditch.

The criminals had previously engaged in a wild chase with the Brandenburg police. The car was badly damaged, the thieves were able to flee on foot!

A large-scale search with helicopters, police dogs and roadblocks was initially unsuccessful.

Almost simultaneously during the night, a vehicle owner reported that his pickup had been stolen in Berlin. The police took up the pursuit using GPS monitoring. This also ended in a residential area in Neuenhagen.

Both vehicles were seized for forensic investigation.
