91-year-old Thierry Tavernier did not survive the attack in the residential care center near Tienen. The family confirms this to our editors. Thierry suffered serious skull fractures when a man broke into the rest home and attacked residents. The family says they will file a complaint against the 37-year-old perpetrator.
