Esmeralda Gallardo was shot by at least five people while waiting for public transport
Esmeralda Gallardo, an activist who was looking for her daughter, was murdered after receiving several shots while waiting for public transport this Tuesday, in the central Mexican state of Puebla. According to witnesses, the woman, the mother of Betzabé Alvarado, who disappeared in January 2021, was waiting for transportation when at least five subjects they shot apparently eight times, which caused his death. The men fled, some aboard a motorcycle and others on foot, witnesses said.
The Municipal Police arrived at the scene, cordoning off the area, as well as paramedics who reviewed the body and confirmed that it had no vital signs, so the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) came to lift the body.

So far, the authorities report that no one has been arrested for the events, so the investigations will continue.
