There has been outrage on social media about a trip by the PVDA youth party to Cuba, a country described by some members as ‘a democratic society without poverty’. “These people do not realize at all what a communist dictatorship means”, it sounds critical, but the young people defend their journey at the editorial office of HLN. “Cuba is not the model I would import or copy in Belgium, but there are things we can learn from.”
