Within the framework of the operation, in which three people were criminally denounced, the agents recovered 1,174 live specimens of goldfinches, finches, greenfinches, linnets, siskins and other protected insectivorous birds and two kestrels, and found 532 dead birds inside a freezer, explained this Monday the body of Rural Agents.
This group operated throughout the year, trafficking, distributing and selling both adult birds and, especially at this time, young birds, which were sold at different illegal outlets for prices between 25 and 30 euros.
