Stella Bergsma is annoyed by the pressure that is being put on Claudia de Breij to respond to the misconduct of her colleague Matthijs van Nieuwkerk. “They’re trying to pick her up somewhere.”
Claudia de Breij was at the forefront to give her opinion on the abuse scandal surrounding The Voice of Holland, but she is silent about the scandal within her own BNNVARA. Only after pressure from the media did she announce yesterday that she will respond to the misconduct of Matthijs van Nieuwkerk in her New Year’s Eve conference.
Claudia is silent
It seems that Claudia is quite annoyed by the media’s request to respond. “A lot of people, well, a lot of TV shows and other agencies that are in need of content ask me for a response to the revelations about DWDD,” she sneered at her socials. “What do I have to say about that? That does not lend itself to a sound bite.”
She continues: “I need a little more space for that. I have that space in my New Year’s Eve conference, so that’s good! I certainly have something to say about this, but I’d like to be on my own stage. For the people who claim that I’m not saying anything because this is about BNNVARA and the NPO; just wait. I am nobody’s.”

Stella Bergsma thinks the media just want to see Claudia fall. “Those people who say you don’t say anything about this don’t say so in a quest for justice, but because they’re trying to get you on something Claudia. You are not accountable to anyone.”

One René disagrees with Stella: “That could well be the case, but the fact is that Claudia reacts like a buck on an oat box to issues that do not come from her corner. So that’s a bit selective.”
