Garden gnomes and a writer’s block
During the performance you get an insight into the life of Miranda, played by Ricky Koole. She was once a famous writer, now she is less prosperous.
Ricky: ‘Miranda would like to repeat her success. Is also necessary, because she is divorced and she has money problems. So she comes to the Allotment Garden Complex, because she thinks: I can write there in peace. But that is disappointing; she is constantly disturbed. By her mother, who takes a garden gnome every day and by the other people in the allotments. They all mean well, but of course you can’t write a book like that. In addition, Miranda is a writer’s block has.”

It derails completely
Her opponent Rop Verheijen adds: “That allotment complex is a mini-society with all kinds of rules, chores and social control, which Miranda has no knowledge of. That makes for a lot of funny confrontations. Miranda has the biggest confrontation with herself. She gets into a crisis because she can’t find her peace and then things go wrong.” Ricky: “We shouldn’t say more about it, Rop.” Rop: “No, we cannot reveal what will happen then, but we can say that it is completely derailed.”
Famous actors and singing aubergines
In short: in this allotment complex, emotions are stirred up, friendships pruned and loves broken. With roles by top actors Tina de Bruin/Rian Gerritsen, Rop Verheijen, Ricky Koole and Daniel Cornelissen. Jan and Keez Groenteman complete the party musically. Singing aubergines and cauliflowers; in this comedy with a dark edge by director Marije Gubbels it all comes to pass.
