The Finnish Ice Hockey Federation announced on Monday that after next spring, three familiar names will continue to play for the Lions.

Jere Lehtinen will continue to work as the general manager of the men’s national team. The successors are also the team leader Mika Kortelainen and maintenance manager Riku Koivunen.

Next spring’s World Cup in the Czech Republic will be the head coach Jukka Jalonen the last ones.

Leijonat will have a new head coach after Jalonen Antti Pennanen for the era. Pennanen’s 2+1-year contract with Leijon was published last week.

– Now that Juka’s successor has been locked in, we can focus on the season starting from the Karjala tournament with the current management team.

The other members of Pennanen’s coaching team will not be announced until next summer.
