The police have released camera images of three perpetrators who tried to enter a casino in Zevenbergen. The trio can be seen chasing an employee on August 11 and trying to get inside. The woman managed to push the door closed just in time, thus preventing a robbery. The voices of the three were also recorded by a nearby camera.
An employee of the Pierre de Jonge Casino was walking through Kerkstraat to work that Friday morning. She would open the casino. She saw the three boys standing on the corner, they were wearing black hoodies and their backs were to her.
“She felt uncomfortable and continued walking. At that moment she pressed her personal alarm,” says an employee of the casino about her colleague in the Bureau Brabant investigation program.
Then the men come after her, they start running and try to get to her as quickly as possible and follow her into the casino. At that moment, one of the men pulls a gun. The door closes just in time. The woman is inside, the three robbers are standing at a closed door.
“I saw tears, sadness, desperation: everything. It did a lot to the victim.”
“She saw one of the robbers at the door and actually felt pressure at the door that they wanted to go in,” the employee says about her colleague. Camera images show how the men arrive just too late, cannot really enter and leave. They walk towards the Market.
The woman was extremely shocked by what happened, says the employee who was the first to catch her. “I saw tears, sadness, desperation: everything. It did a lot to the victim.” The woman experiences a lot of anxiety and has not been able to work for a while.
All three perpetrators have dark skin, they wear dark clothing and are between 20 and 30 years old. They are all about 1.70 meters tall. Two men wear a black jacket with the Under Armor logo on it. The third perpetrator is wearing a Canada Goose jacket.
In the Bureau Brabant investigation program, an employee talked about the perpetrators and how they worked.
