Another hit of the movie year Barbie however, did not succeed at the awards gala as expected. However, when the new category for the best commercial achievement was announced, we knew how to wait Barbie’s pokkavan’s award.

Barbie also won the Best Movie Song award: Billie Eilish and of Finneas O’Connell What Was I Made For? – song. However, without the new category, Barbie’s Golden Globe standings would have remained only one.
Among other things Billboard publication has shaped an evening of disappointment for Barbie, who was the gala. Out of nine nominations, Barbie won only two awards. According to Billboard, lead stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling’s the sidelined awards didn’t surprise as much as the fate in the other categories.
Barbie was nominated for, among other things, the award for best musical or comedy film, but won the award Poor Things. The award for the best screenplay was also missed Greta Gerwig and by Noah Baumbach to the point, but Justine Triet and Arthur Harari (Anatomy of a Fall) bagged the prize.

One of the surprises of the gala night has been considered that Meryl Streep did not win her 10th Golden Globe award. Only Murders in the Building Steep, who starred in the series, was nominated for best supporting actress in a TV series in the category.

Another surprise of the evening was The boy and the stork. It beat out Best Animated Feature Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Super Mario – the movie. These were also nominated in the new box office raffle category.
This year, the gala was also watched with special excitement in Finland, when Aki Kaurismäki Dead leaves was nominated in the category of best foreign language film. Alma Pöysti, who also starred in the film, was nominated in the category of best actress in a comedy or musical film.
Emma Stone was awarded for best actress in a comedy or musical film Poor Things.
Poor Things was also awarded as the best musical or comedy film. The award for the best foreign language film went to Anatomy of a Fall.

Comedian Ricky Gervais was awarded in the category of best stand-up comedian on television. Gervais was not there to receive his award. Gervais has aroused a lot of mixed feelings with his humor.
Most recently, Gervais’ jokes about terminally ill children angered viewers. In the past, Gervais has angered people with his jokes, which have been considered transphobic.
