“I never expected to get such a special place in this stadium. Of course I knew that I was in good hands with the fans, but this way it is very special.”

Phillip Cocu:

“Very special and a very nice initiative. It is an honor to have such a place in the stadium.”

Hans van Breukelen:

“I feel it is a great honor that supporters have chosen me to put me on the Walk of Fame. You can’t get a better rating. It makes me very proud, especially because we have had so many good keepers here.”

Berry van Aerle:

“When you get on a Walk of Fame at a club where I played for thirteen years and still work, you really get goosebumps. Especially because you notice that the fans have not forgotten you yet.”

The van der Kuijlen family also had a delegation for the ceremony. Son Mark revealed father Willy’s footprint. Later in the day, PSV announced the other six icons that will be in the Walk of Fame. These were Ruud van Nistelrooij, Mark van Bommel, Ronaldo, Arjen Robben, Heurelho Gomes and Mateja Kežman.
