These characters also returned from beyond the grave to Pihlajakatu – Do you still remember?

We told you earlier that the actor I am Kare33, returns Secret lives series and the role of Marianna Kurje. The news is a big surprise for salkarrit fans because Kare left the series in 2017 with a minor uproar. Iltalehti wrote at the time that Marianna and her mother Raakel had committed double suicide.

However, Kare herself never believed that Marianna was really dead. Now was the right moment for the actor to return.

But it’s not the first time that a character thought to be dead returns to Pihlajakatu to continue his life. Do you still remember these twists?

Aaro Vaalanne

Actor Teemu Lehtinen the character, Aaro, has left the favorite series numerous times and always returned in the end. In 2007, the series saw the death of Aaron – or so it was thought.

Aaro, who played his brother Eero, was declared dead shortly after Laura Kiviranta and Paula Sievinen pushed the man down from the balcony. Later, however, it turned out that Aaron’s mother Anni had nursed her dying son back to health.

And this is how the evildoer once again entered the life of Pihlajakatu.

Salla Mattila

During the series, Salla has worked in several different workplaces, including the food kiosk Stellans. Ismo Laitela also worked as Salla’s colleague at Stellans, with whom she fell in love.

Salla and Ismo celebrated their wedding in the restaurant Centauri, which exploded during the reception. In 2009, Eero Vaalanne, Juulia Autio and one waiter died in the accident shown on TV.

In addition, the bride, Salla, seemed to have lost her life, but fortunately she came back to life at the morgue.

Kristiina Pohjonen

Kristiina was familiar to the viewers of the series even before she appeared on the screen, because she is Ismo Laitela’s ex-wife. The woman formerly known as Liisa was thought to have died of cancer decades ago, when the couple’s children Miia and Kalle were still small.

However, doctor Heikki Pohjonen saved Liisa’s life and the couple got married later. In the series, Liisa appeared as Kristiina and ended up at doctor Kalle’s office.

Iris Kaukovaara

Iiris Kaukovaara was missing for several years, but finally returned to Pihlajakatu to surprise her family: Panu, Aino, Oto and Sampo. It soon became clear that Iiris had spent five years in Paris and supported herself as an artist.

Iiris, who used the stage name Siri in France, was already declared dead at home. However, he himself had no knowledge of this when he arrived at Pihlajakatu.

Toni Veijalainen

Toni lived with Vainio’s sisters, Katja and Jenni, on Pihlajakatu. Jenni and Toni had a relationship, which before long began to be strained by Toni’s shady dealings with money laundering. On the eve of the wedding, Toni would have liked to take Jenni’s last name, so as not to be caught for his crimes.

However, the truth came out to Jenni just before the wedding. He demanded that Toni leave the crimes behind so that the relationship could continue. The man did not agree to this, however, and ran away from the church in the middle of the wedding. He had also managed to bequeath his gigantic debts in Jenni’s name.

Jenni went to prison and in the meantime Toni staged his own death. Years later, Toni returned to Pihlajakatu and also tried to woo Jenni back. However, he never stopped rummaging.

Sebastian Vuorela and Sergei Kuula

Like Toni Veijalainen, also the Kuula brothers Sebastian (Jarkko Nyman) and Sergei (Tero Tiittanen) have both staged their own deaths.

Kuula’s family was persecuted by the infamous Korppi, and Sebastian ran away from the situation into the water. The man jumped on board the motorboat and the viewers of the series were surprised when the boat exploded and burst into flames. Sebastian was presumed dead, but he made a return to his own memorial service and appeared to his mother Helena.

Sergei was also thought to be dead when his car exploded while escaping from prison.

The return of “Miia Laitela”.

Venla Saartamo, who played Miia Laitela, made a comeback to Salatut elämät filming in 2016. However, she did not return to the role of the beloved Miia, but played her double.

Miia’s mother, Kristiina Pohjola, got amnesia and thought her daughter was still alive. As a result, Kristiina brought Miia’s twin, Kirsi Huovinen, to Pihlajakatu. Ismo Laitela also thought at first sight that it was Miia who had died of a brain tumor.
