What will the traffic circle on the N34 near Gieten look like in the future? Residents living near the provincial road can give their opinion about this during drop-in meetings this week. The central question is how the flow of traffic on the traffic circle can be smoother than is currently the case.
Four possible solutions have been identified, for which the province has ninety million euros available:
The provincial government will announce next year which of the four options is preferred. The Drenthe Parliament agrees to this or votes down the proposal. The traffic project would then start in 2027 or 2028.
