A total of 25 countries – accounting for a quarter of the world’s population – suffer from extreme water stress every year. That means they regularly use up almost their entire available water supply. Bahrain, Cyprus, Kuwait, Lebanon and Oman are at the top of the list. But Belgium also turns out to be in it.
