Oops, Britt Dekker is accused of spreading a lying gossip for the umpteenth time in her career. This time Sam Hagens stands up to contradict her: “That’s not right!”
She is perhaps Hilversum’s biggest gossip ass: 31-year-old Britt Dekker. The presenter of SBS 6 has already spread damaging gossip several times, which turn out to be completely wrong. In 2019, she even got a lawyer behind her when she accused jurors of the RTL 4 program Superstar Chef of coke use.
Another lie
Two years later, and therefore also two years ago, Britt accused a team member of RTL 4’s Expedition Robinson of abuse of power. A cameraman is said to have abused his position of power against a hungry candidate she ‘knows well’ by allowing herself to be satisfied in exchange for a Mars. It turned out to be another blatant lie.
And Britt’s nose just won’t stop growing, because now she appears to have spread another false gossip about her SBS 6 colleague Sam Hagens. Britt states that Sam really wanted to present the channel’s walking show, discarded by almost all of their colleagues, but that he was found too light.
‘It’s not true’
It would of course be quite embarrassing if Sam put himself forward and was rejected, because this walking show – which eventually goes to Jamie Trenité – was passed off as a ‘moldy sandwich at SBS’, as Angela de Jong calls it. “Sam Hagens would have raised his finger,” she says in the AD Media podcast.
Media journalist Dennis Jansen: “But he texted me that he had not raised his finger.”
Angela: “Well, sorry Sam, but Britt really did tell me. According to her, Sam Hagens had raised his finger.”
“Wasn’t!”
Sam denies Britt’s claim, thus stating that she is lying. Dennis: “It wasn’t like that. He had texted me that he had not done that.”
Angela: “I would never have done it if you know that so many people have publicly thanked. Then I would really think: bye.”
Yet Jamie has now accepted that job. SBS 6 star Manuel Venderbos: “Yeah, but I think this only got to the media from Britt when he was recording it for a long time.”
Grain of salt
No, Jamie knew he was taking that moldy sandwich, says Angela. “No, I think it had to be recorded. That’s what I understood from Britt.”
Then she realizes: “Well, we now know that you have to take some things with a grain of salt…”
