There will be a big change in televisions – This is what it’s all about

Smart TVs are getting smarter every year as manufacturers introduce more and more advanced solutions for the biggest screens in the home. This year, artificial intelligence and the opportunities it offers are even more in the limelight.

Among others, LG and Samsung have presented televisions that rely more heavily on artificial intelligence at the CES consumer electronics fair in Las Vegas. LG

At the CES consumer electronics fair, which started in Las Vegas this week, numerous new products have been presented as usual, which are expected to go on sale in the coming months.

One of the biggest talking points this year – regardless of the product category – is artificial intelligence. Not even household appliances or refrigerators are escaping it.

Artificial intelligence solutions used in televisions are also making strides forward, which is promised to bring new kinds of viewing experiences to living rooms.

The new top features will naturally arrive first in the models at the top end of the price range, but we can expect the same tricks in the future for budget TVs as well.

Anyone buying a new top TV this year should pay attention to the artificial intelligence processor mentioned in the TV’s information, if they want to access the latest artificial intelligence features.

LG Alpha 11 AI

Among others, LG and Samsung have presented new televisions that make stronger use of artificial intelligence at the CES trade fair.

For example, the new artificial intelligence processor Alpha 11 AI used in LG’s new Signature OLED M4 and OLED G4 series televisions promises significant improvements in picture and sound quality.

In its press release, LG says that artificial intelligence analyzes and adjusts, for example, the color scheme of the image when watching a movie, so that the end result is as close as possible to what the filmmakers intended.

The manufacturer promises that the artificial intelligence will also enable a more three-dimensional image by fine-tuning the brightness and contrast in the image areas where it is most needed.

LG says that it will also improve the audio world with the help of artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence can isolate, for example, the dialogue of a movie from other voices in order to clarify the speech.

Samsung NQ8 AI Gen3

Like LG, Samsung also presented a next-generation artificial intelligence processor at the CES event, which, according to the company’s announcement, among other things, improves the image quality of low-resolution content in new 8K televisions, scaling them up to 8K resolution.

The new artificial intelligence processor is also used in Samsung televisions to improve the general image quality. The company says that artificial intelligence recognizes, for example, the part of a movie scene that the human eye would naturally focus on, and brings it to the foreground, which makes the images feel more alive and three-dimensional.

The NQ8 AI Gen3 AI processor should also benefit bench players. With the help of artificial intelligence, the television can identify the sport being watched and the game equipment and reduce, for example, ball distortion and motion blur.

The new “AI-driven dialogue enhancer” is among the features of Samsung’s Neo QLED 8K. It is said to separate the speech from the soundtrack and improve the sound input so that the user can follow the conversation on the screen “at any volume”.
