Checking the Union State Response Forces will continue due to escalation of tension near the borders of Russia and Belarus. The decision was made by the presidents of the two countries Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko. The aggravation of the situation in the Donbass also influenced this decision, the Belarusian Defense Ministry said on Sunday.
“In Europe, “there is a very strong smell of gunpowder,” it is being purposefully pushed to war,” Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said on Telegram.
Currently, the Union State Forces are on a five-day readiness instead of the usual seven due to the situation in Ukraine.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, Moscow and Minsk have a ready infrastructure for a quick response to military threats.
According to Khrenin, the countries bordering the Union State are actively “pumped up” modern offensive weapons.
Western countries intend to find a bypass of the “red lines” clearly marked by Russia, the Belarusian Defense Ministry concluded.
