un in five children are bullied15 percent of boys have suffered acts of oppression at least once.

The survey conducted by the Higher Institute of Health and the data collected by the police demonstrate how frequent the phenomenon affecting minors is now and above all what consequences it causes.

A study published in Jama Psychiatry from University College London has demonstrated the cause-effect relationship between bullying and disorders, particularly anxiety, depression, hyperactivity, impulsiveness and inattention.

Experts agree that often «there is behind violent and abusive behavior the more or less conscious attempt to attract attention of the world of adults, conceived as distant”.

On this the police have developed a real code of conduct because “bullying is characterized by prevarication, amplified by the web and social platforms, but often hides the fragility of the bully, who should never be supported with a “like”, whether virtual or real”.

And so “Always report cases by talking to parents, teachers and the police, also through the State Police YouPol appis the right way to help victims get out of the spiral of bullying, breaking the isolation, and offering the bully on duty the opportunity to reflect and work to change their behavior”.

It’s important to remember that even seemingly insignificant episodes can have a huge impact on the balance of the little ones.
