Theorem | Mandatory working from home to avoid traffic congestion | Opinion

YOUR OPINIONTraffic congestion will soon be back to pre-coronavirus levels, the Knowledge Institute for Mobility Policy (KiM) expects. The abolition of home working advice is an important reason for the increasing traffic, along with population and economic growth.

One solution could be for the government to make working from home more urgent as the norm, experts say. Research by TNO shows that 8 out of 10 people want to work from home, but that they often go to the office because it is not clear what employers expect.

Every day, the Stentor brings a statement online via a poll. In it, readers can let us know how they view certain points of discussion. The results are not representative and are therefore not used as such. However, the results of a poll can (partially) give rise to follow-up research and/or stories.

Cigarette price

The previous statement was: Immediately increase the price of cigarettes to 40 euros per pack. Just under half of more than 4300 voters (47 percent) think a significant price increase is not a good idea. A percentage of 39 percent, on the other hand, thinks it is an excellent solution. Another 11 percent believe that this will also prevent smokers from quitting. A percentage of 3 percent doubts this statement.
