British newspaper Mirror has listed the richest rap artists in the world.
The top of the list should be kept Jay-Zwhose net worth is said to be 2.5 billion dollars, or about 2.4 billion euros.

Along with his rap career, Jay-Z, real name Sean Carter, has made money through his record label, Rocawear clothing brand, and two alcohol brands. However, most of the earnings have come through music.
Jay-Z has sold more than 100 million records in his career and holds the record: 14 of his albums have reached the top spot on the Billboard 200, which is more than any other music artist.

Jay-Z is the undisputed number one on the list. With the runner-up With Diddy that is, Sean Combs has an estimated net worth of $1 billion, which is less than half of Jay-Z’s net worth.

Third on the list is Dr. Dre with assets of 520 million euros. Dr Dre has released only two albums in his career, but he has helped other big names such as Eminem’s and 50 Cent’s to world fame.

Kanye West ranks fourth on the list with assets of 500 million dollars or 475 million euros. The investment is surprising in itself, given that only a year ago, the financial magazine Forbes estimated West’s net worth at 2 billion dollars, or 1.9 billion euros.

In sixth place is a Canadian rapper Drake, whose net worth is said to be 265 million euros. Drake is the only person on the list who is not from the United States.
