The World Ski Cup will end next week

The International Ski Federation (FIS) has decided that the World Cup will end next week in Falun, Sweden.

Originally, the last races of the World Cup were to take place on the 18th and 20th. March in Tyumen, Russia, but the races were canceled due to Russian hostilities.

The FIS says that it has evaluated possible other alternatives to replace Tyumen together with the various Ski Associations, but despite great efforts and the interest of the various Ski Associations, no replacement place was found. Thus, the World Ski Cup will end this season on the 11th and 13th. March.

The World Cup continues this weekend in Holmenkollen, Norway, where the 30-kilometer and 50-kilometer men’s competitions are skied. Women 30 are allowed on Saturday and men 30 miles on Sunday.
