Chinese acrobat Sun fell to his death mid-performance last Saturday.
The tragic video filmed by the public started to spread on social media. The circus performed in the city of Suzhou, in eastern China.
Acrobat Sunin performed with her partner and husband Zhang’s with in the flying trapeze. Tempus, Sun let go of his pair and was meant to grab Zhang’s legs, but failed.
The creepy video showed Sun falling from a height to the ground. He was immediately taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The couple have two children together, BBC told.
Neither acrobat had safety ropes, and there was no net below them. According to the BBC, the reason was that the riskier show earns better.
The subject sparked a great debate in China, and people on social media demanded that the culprits answer for the tragedy.
The flying trapeze is characterized as the royal sport of the circus.
