In a video that has become a viral hit, the photographer’s wife tries to guess how much her husband’s photography equipment has cost.
Canadian photographer and videographer Jesse Holland posted a video on TikTok where his wife Kayla tries to guess the prices of cameras, lenses and other filming equipment.
At the time of writing this article, the video, which has collected a couple of thousand comments, has been liked by almost 400,000 people on TikTok and more than 50,000 on Instagram.
For example, he estimates the price of a memory card intended for professional use to be about a tenth of what it really is. In the case of the microphone, the estimate goes even worse than this, and the camera was not even used in the right thousands.
Jesse says in an interview with the US photography website PetaPixel that he has received messages from people who have been concerned that the prices of valuable purchases were such a big surprise to Kayla. He says he understands the criticism.
– At no point in the video did I emphasize that I am indeed an entrepreneur, and I have not paid for this equipment with my own money, Jesse states.

The argument started immediately
Jesse believes the video became such a big hit because its comments section quickly flooded with messages from people who thought the prices he paid were completely cheeky.
Other commenters, however, only showed that they themselves are not aware of what photography equipment intended for professional use – such as, for example, ultra-fast memory cards – really costs.
In the end, TikTok users fought each other in the comments section of the video, which has probably given the video more exposure.
Many commenters also missed the fact that the prices shown in the video were not US dollars, but Canadian dollars.
