Palestinian Hamas launched an attack on Israel on Saturday. At least 40 Israelis have been killed as the country has hit back with major bombardments on targets in the Gaza Strip.
Although the conflict between Israel and Palestine has been going on for decades, such a major attack has not occurred in years. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has declared that the country is at war.
However, many residents of both areas do not want war at all. Hamas, which is officially a terrorist movement, also does not speak for their country, according to many Palestinians.
Joe Biden, the President of the United States, has already announced that he will support Israel militarily. Many Islamic countries probably choose the Palestinian side.
