The Week of Drenthe: Pre-sorting for sold-out TT and nervous students

Nervous students, new nitrogen measures and of course attention to the TT in the Drenthe news last week.

Because the preparations for the TT are in full swing. The flag will not fall for two weeks, but the TT board is certainly looking ahead. During a press conference, the board announced that it expected another sold-out house on race day. That does not automatically mean a fat pot for the organization, because many tickets for the TT of 2020 will also be cashed in this year.

On Thursday, many Drenthe students sat by the telephone with trembling hands. Final exam candidates were told whether they had passed. We went to see the Dr. Nassau College in Norg where the good news was brought in a special way.

On Friday, the farmers were discussed, although perhaps they would rather not have had that. The government’s nitrogen plans are turning out badly for Drenthe. The farmers in our province have to take drastic measures.

Furthermore, in this weekly overview we look at the events on Whit Monday because it was allowed again after two years of corona. And court reporter Marjan Buring joined us to talk about the case of a father who stabbed his one and a half year old son at Boomkroonpad in February.
