Lhe 74th edition of the Sanremo Festival ended less than a week ago, but music continues to be the protagonist on Rai 1. Tonight at 9.30pm the first episode of The Voice Senior 2024. Antonella Clerici is in charge with a team of coaches that have been renewed but only partially.

They will be sitting in the swivel chairs during the seven episodes Loredana Bertè, Clementino, Gigi D’Alessio and the new entry Arisa, which takes over from Ricchi e Poveri. Bertè, Clementino and D’Alessio are a close-knit trio, enlisted since the first edition. Arisa, on the other hand, is in her first experience after the more than positive test as a coach The Voice Kids 2023.
In addition to Ricchi e Poveri, Orietta Berti and Al Bano also alternated in the show together with their daughter Jasmine Carrisi. TO The Voice Kids Arisa stood out for her sweetness and calm approach towards the competitors. Regarding the jury in general, they are all veterans of Sanremo 2024 except Clementino.
Loredana Bertè participated among the 30 Bigs of Sanremo with Crazy. Where she placed seventh and received the Mia Martini Critics Award. Arisa instead returned to the Festival with a performance of The nightsecond place in Sanremo 2012. While Gigi D’Alessio was part of Geolier’s duet together with Guè and Luchè on the cover evening.

The mechanism of the format, from the blind auditions to the final
For its fourth edition the program presents some innovations. Tonight we begin with the Blind auditions, i.e. the famous blind auditions where coaches listen to the aspiring competitors with their backs turned. To decide whether or not to take them into your team they have only one tool: listening. And in a few seconds understand if that voice could really be the voice. If two or more coaches turn around, then the competitor decides who to join the team with.
Each coach has the Block button available, which denies colleagues the possibility of choosing the same current one. Furthermore, makes his entrance something new. Is called Second Chance and it is ithe button that allows each judge to have the singer perform a second time. It can be used if none of the four turned around during the performance.
The Blind auditions are at the center of the first five episodes. At the end the four judges will have composed their teams, for a total of 24 competitors. Then we move on to the Knock Out, or the semi-final. On this occasion each singer brings their own signature piece to the stage. Only 3 competitors per team will enter the final, for a total of 12 singers. And in that case the public will decide the winner The Voice Senior 2024 via televoting.
The Voice Senior 2024the competitors: singers looking for a second chance
The aspiring contestants are singers over 60 looking for a chance. For many of them it is a second chance, a way to obtain the right redemption and the right revenge after abandoning music. For others, participation serves as the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. They all represent a mantra that should always be kept in mind: never give up.
As always, in addition to the single performances in which the competitors perform to the tune of their warhorses, they will engage in duets accompanied by their coaches. Added to these are the incursions of guests, real guest stars protagonists of Italian music. While waiting to find out, the winners of previous editions should be remembered. The first was Erminio Sinni in 2020, followed in 2022 by Annibale Giannarelli and Maria Teresa Reale in 2023.
