The police confirmed today that a 38-year-old woman from Lelystad died in the fire in a business premises in Schellinkhout. The police said earlier that it was ‘99.9 percent’ certain to be Edilene (38) from Lelystad, but the results of the DNA test took three weeks to arrive.
On the night of January 28 to 29, raging in a business premises in Schellinkhout a big fire. A day later, a body is found in the business premises. It soon becomes clear that people were living illegally in the business units.
The person who died in the blaze is ‘99.9 percent’ his wife Edilene, police said shortly after the fire to her husband Anthony. The victim’s next of kin have been informed of the outcome of the investigation.
The police have completed the criminal investigation, no one is being prosecuted. There is no further investigation into the cause of the fire. The flames were so intense that the cause of the fire can no longer be traced.
