The versatile possibilities at H&M

For students and young professionals in the fashion industry, H&M offers an interesting opportunity to gain valuable experience and lay the foundation for an exciting career. Either starting as a Sales Advisor in one of the many H&M stores in the classic way or through H&M’s student and graduate programs to gain valuable experience.

Student and graduate programs at H&M headquarters

To give fashion students and graduates a better chance to enter and help shape the fashion industry, H&M offers insight and the opportunity to set foot in a career in fashion. The offer is aimed at two different groups: students who are studying fashion or textile design and graduates with a BA or MA degree.

The undergraduate program lasts three months, while the graduate program lasts six months. Participants will engage in meaningful work, take on individual responsibility and make new connections with colleagues, creating a stimulating and enjoyable work environment. The internships allow students and graduates to learn more about product development and purchasing, pattern making, print design and fashion design.

All internships take place in Sweden and are scheduled to start after graduation in September. The application phase begins towards the end of the year, giving applicants ample time to prepare and express their interest.

A detailed look at a traineeship

H&M also offers trainee programs. These provide a great opportunity for professional growth and development. The traineeships last 12 months and take place at H&M’s headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. The participants get to know different functions and departments within the company and thus gain comprehensive insights and experience in different teams.

Throughout the program, trainees take part in workshops and training sessions to broaden their knowledge and improve their skills. The environment encourages innovation, learning and collaboration across a broad spectrum. Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be offered a permanent, full-time position within the H&M group to start the next phase of their career.
